This is from Jimmy Liao… if you don’t know who he is you probably don’t know Chinese… so I’ve translated the Chinese subtitles below…

I saw a fish, a fish that smiled at me

and made me wonder where is he/she headed…

Yummy Taiwanese Nougat

These are from a loving grandmother of one of my children choir kids…

Simply delicious and actually taste better than Aussie’s…
I don’t know what nut is that inside… but it’s so NICE!!!

So if you go Taiwan… this is highly recommended miyage (and make sure I have some)!

His solid baritone voice seems to have that soothing effect
that would strengthen me somehow

it made me feel like I can definitely carry on come what may!

Tomatoes Dumplings @ The Cross

The Cross @ City Mall…
The drinks not nice
The noodles “mar mar day”
but their dumplings… yummy

So I have decided to order just that…

Fukurou @ Damai

Finally… the restaurant is not closed when I decide to dine there!

So much for their “good reputation” and popularity amongst the local…

I found the food “so so only”…

Which again proves my theory that you can’t cook good Japanese food with a
“serve no pork” label!

The curry is not thick enough and not Japanese enough…
The sushi and onigiri were just okay… nothing special
The mix mushroom stir fry was fantastic though…

Home Made Birthday Dinner

 

Yupe… that’s it.

Sushi King

Have not been to Sushi King for years if not a whole decade… the last I dined at Sushi King was probably the one in KLCC… I remember I wrote on their complaint form that their waitresses couldn’t even say out Irrashaimase correctly… and the sushi rice were machine made instead of pressed with hands, I was shocked!!! And decided that I’d never pay Sushi King for food!

So when Sushi King came to KK, I was not a bit interested… but after years I thought I might just gave it a second chance and went to the Sushi King at CityMall… their menu is all new to me now (hahaha)… and I ordered this Curry Rice Soup… because I know no matter how bad your cooking skill is, as long as you mix Japanese rice with Japanese curry… you can’t go wrong!

 

While the sushi were a bit “ordinary” except for the above fried egg with mayo (coz I love eggs)…. and the cheese roll sushi (which is also available at wagamama).

PS:
Pink plate is RM4…
so that ONE egg cost me RM4+6%tax!

PPS:
If you earn SGD… RM4 is like nothing!
